State Representative Richard Curtis says he’s not gay, but police reports and court records indicate the Republican lawmaker from southwestern Washington dressed up in women’s lingerie and met a Medical Lake man in a local erotic video store which led to consensual sex at a downtown hotel and a threat to expose Curtis’ activities publicly.

A search warrant unsealed Tuesday morning disclosed that State Representative Richard Curtis (R – La Center) had sex in his room at the Davenport Tower with a man identified as Cody Castagna, 26, of Medical Lake, who he met at the Hollywood Erotic Boutique on October 26th.

Yet few contemporary filmmakers have been as daring as Haynes at recombining familiar pop elements to comment on what they mean. In movies like Poison, Safe, and the glam-rock fantasia Velvet Goldmine, Haynes has advanced a style that’s simultaneously intellectual and emotional, producing films that are far more engaging than mere plot descriptions make them sound. Haynes recently spoke with The A.V. Club about how he’s able to convey such a personal vision while working in a medium as collaborative as film.

Barbra Streisand, who hedged her bets months ago with donations to Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards, has settled on one presidential candidate. It’s Hillary Clinton.

“Madame President of the United States … it’s an extraordinary thought. We truly are in a momentous time, where a woman’s potential has no limitations,” Streisand said in a statement released Tuesday by the Clinton campaign. “Hillary Clinton has already proven to a generation of women that there are no limits for success.”

The Oscar-winning actress and singer is a FOB _ Friend of Bill Clinton _ and the endorsement is hardly surprising. In Hollywood, as in politics, timing is everything, and Streisand’s endorsement comes one day after another entertainment superstar, Oprah Winfrey, announced she would campaign for Clinton rival Barack Obama.

Florida Republican Guilty In Washroom Sex Case
State Rep. Bob Allen (R) has been convicted of offering an undercover male police officer cash for sex.

Allen, a longtime foe of LGBT rights in Florida, will be sentenced next Thursday. He could be facing 60 days in the county jail and a $500. fine. Republicans in the legislature said the conviction will allow them to move forward with plans to remove Allen from office.

Following the verdict his attorney accused the prosecution of misconduct and said he will seek a new trial.

Allen was busted in July during a sting at a men’s washroom at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Titusville, Florida.
